Super Reader

Super Reader

Children are growing up in an information age in which reading plays a critical role, both economically and socially. The importance of literacy cannot be overstated. Schools are filled with children who give up early on... labeling themselves as "losers". By learning to read, they are more apt to succeed. More than ever before, teachers need added tools to help young children to become successful readers and lifelong learners. The SUPERREADER program can help.

The goal of the SuperReader Program is to encourage and promote, within young students (K-5th grade), a positive attitude and excitement towards reading. This is an innovative supplementary teaching approach, which uses a live super hero, SuperReader, to represent the winning characteristics of a reader such as intelligence, power, strength, self-confidence and high self-esteem. Partnering organizations includes schools, libraries, community-based organizations and other agencies. Our hero generates an air of excitement around reading by presenting it as a thrilling activity and a wonderful life-long learning skill. SuperReader will introduce an interactive reading incentive program that is certain to evoke participation and enthusiasm from students.
